The Luminys R31-4PA6 is a plug-and-play 4-channel NVR built for small commercial deployments where simplicity matters. Four built-in PoE ports, a 6TB pre-installed hard drive, and support for up to 8MP camera resolution make it a clean one-box solution for retail, small office, and light commercial work. It ships ready to record -- no separate storage purchase, no extra PoE switch.

NDAA-compliant and FCC-certified, the R31-4PA6 fits compliance-sensitive jobs without extra paperwork. ONVIF interoperability keeps it open to the cameras you already stock. Analytics by Camera offloads processing to the edge -- the NVR pulls camera-side metadata for iMD, VCA, Face Detection, and LPR rather than burning local cycles on analytics, keeping the box efficient and storage lean. LumiCloud Lite is included for remote access via LumiViewer; upgrade to a paid LumiCloud subscription to unlock cloud recording and 30-day AI event storage.

Does this NVR require Luminys cameras to work?
No. The R31-4PA6 is ONVIF-compatible and records from third-party cameras. Analytics by Camera (iMD, VCA, Face Detection, LPR) requires Luminys cameras. Standard ONVIF cameras record without analytics.
How many cameras can I connect, and does it need a separate PoE switch?
Four (4) cameras maximum. The four built-in PoE ports eliminate the need for a separate switch -- one cable per camera, plug and play. Max PoE output is 36W total (25.5W per port).
Does this unit ship with a hard drive?
Yes. The R31-4PA6 includes a 6TB HDD pre-installed and ships ready to record. The SATA bay supports a single drive up to 10TB if you need to upgrade later. SATA data cable and SATA power cable are included in the box.
Is this NVR NDAA compliant?
