The Luminys R32-8PA4 is a 1U 8-channel PoE NVR that ships with a 4TB drive installed and ready to record. Eight IEEE 802.3 af/at PoE ports handle camera power and data over a single cable run per camera, and the unit supports up to 8MP resolution across all channels with no license required to unlock resolution or analytics. Camera-side iMD, VCA, Face Detection, and LPR offload processing from the NVR and keep the system running lean -- even at full 8-channel 8MP load.

Built for the commercial installer

The R32-8PA4 fits standard 1U rack space and connects to the head-end switch via a single GbE port. At 160 Mbps recording bandwidth it handles high-bitrate 8MP streams from all eight cameras simultaneously without dropping frames. Two SATA bays expand to 20TB when the job calls for longer retention. ONVIF and RTSP compatibility keep options open for third-party VMS integration, and NDAA compliance covers federal and state contract requirements. LumiCloud Lite is included; full cloud video recording requires a per-channel LumiCloud HD Video Unity subscription (LCL-HDV-U), sold separately.

Do I need a separate NVR license to use analytics?
No. iMD, VCA, Face Detection, and LPR run at the camera edge on compatible Luminys cameras. There is no NVR-side analytics license required for any of these features.
Can I add more storage beyond the included 4TB?
Yes. The R32-8PA4 has 2 SATA bays supporting up to 10TB per drive. Maximum capacity is 20TB total (drives sold separately).
Does this NVR work with third-party cameras?
It supports ONVIF-compatible cameras for basic recording. Camera-side analytics (iMD, VCA, Face Detection, LPR) require Luminys cameras with analytics support -- those features do not apply to third-party cameras.
Is the R32-8PA4 NDAA compliant?
Yes. The R32-8PA4 is NDAA Section 889 compliant, making it eligible for federal, state, and municipal government contracts.
What does LumiCloud Lite include vs. the paid Unity subscription?
