SKU:
LM-R68-32NA64

The Luminys R68-32NA64 is a 32-channel 8K NVR that ships with 64TB pre-installed across 8 hot-swap SATA bays. Rack it, cable it, and record from day one — no sourcing drives separately, no extra fulfillment step on the job.

Built for high-density commercial deployments

The R6 Extreme line sits at the top of the Luminys NVR stack: 1,400 Mbps recording bandwidth (AI off), up to 32MP camera resolution, and 8K output for large-monitor control rooms. Dual 2.5 Gbps NICs let you run redundant paths or bond bandwidth without additional switching. ONVIF Profiles S, T, G, and M compliant. NDAA Section 889 compliant for federal and state contract eligibility.

Key features

  • 64TB pre-installed, hot-swap bays: 8 SATA drives in a drawer-style design — replace a failed drive without taking the recorder offline
  • RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10: full redundancy options built in, including RAID 5 for the standard balance between protection and usable capacity
  • LumiSearch+: AI-driven person and vehicle search across feeds using a reference image — no pre-enrollment, no cloud dependency
  • Analytics by Recorder: face detection, face recognition, iMD, VCA, people counting, and heat map run directly on the NVR, making AI analytics available from any ONVIF camera on the system
  • Video Metadata + local fisheye dewarp: structured event data generated alongside the stream, plus in-recorder dewarp for fisheye cameras without a separate server
  • Dual 2.5 Gbps NIC: redundant or load-balanced network connectivity for sites that cannot afford a single point of failure at the recorder

System requirements

The R68-32NA64 has no built-in PoE ports — cameras connect through an external PoE switch or midspan injector. Compatible with Luminys IP cameras and ONVIF Profiles S, T, G, M cameras from other vendors. LumiCloud Lite is included for remote access; LumiCloud Unity subscriptions are sold separately. LumiCenter VMS compatible.

Does the R68-32NA64 come with drives pre-installed?
Yes. The 64TB configuration ships with 8 SATA drives pre-installed in the hot-swap drawer bays. No additional drive sourcing required.
Does this NVR have built-in PoE ports?
No. Cameras connect to the NVR through an external PoE switch or midspan injector. The R68-32NA64 connects to the network via its dual 2.5 Gbps NICs.
What RAID configurations are supported?
RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. Drives sit in hot-swap bays, so a failed drive can be replaced without shutting the system down.
Does LumiSearch+ require cloud connectivity?
No. LumiSearch+ runs locally on the NVR using a reference image to find matching persons or vehicles across feeds. No pre-enrollment and no cloud upload required.
Can Analytics by Recorder run AI analytics on non-Luminys cameras?
Yes. Analytics by Recorder generates AI events (face detection, face recognition, VCA, iMD, people counting, heat map) from the video stream directly on the NVR — works with any ONVIF-compliant camera, not just Luminys models.
Is this NVR NDAA Section 889 compliant?
Yes. NDAA Section 889 compliant, making it eligible for federal, state, and regulated commercial security projects.
What if the project scales beyond 32 channels?
The R6 Extreme platform also comes in 64-channel (R68-64NA) and 128-channel (R68-XNA) configurations. All three share the same form factor and management software, so you can standardize on one platform across site sizes.
