The Omada ES206XPP-M2 is a 5-port 2.5G Easy Managed switch with four 802.3bt PoE++ ports and a 120 W budget, built for multi-gig access points and high-power PoE devices that need more than PoE+ can supply. A 10G SFP+ slot handles the uplink.

Built for high-power PoE and multi-gig devices

Four 2.5G ports deliver 802.3af, at or bt PoE at up to 90 W each from the 120 W budget, and the fifth 2.5G port is data only. Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE keep powered devices up through a switch reboot. The SFP+ slot gives a 10G fiber uplink, and the fanless metal case sits on a desk or mounts on a wall.

Key features

  • 4 PoE++ ports, 120 W total: 802.3af/at/bt at up to 90 W per port for high-power cameras and APs
  • 5 x 2.5G RJ45 ports: auto-negotiate 100M, 1G and 2.5G, so existing devices still connect
  • 10G SFP+ slot: a fiber uplink to a core switch or server
  • Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE: devices power up early and stay powered through a switch reboot
  • Fanless metal case: silent in use, desktop or wall mount, with a physical security lock slot

System requirements

Uses the included 53.5V DC external power adapter. Powered devices must be 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt compliant. The SFP+ slot needs a separate 10G SFP+ module. Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller; zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its web interface.

FAQs

How many ports on the ES206XPP-M2 have PoE?
Four of the five 2.5G ports. They support 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt at up to 90 W per port, sharing a 120 W budget. One port is data only.
Can it power an 802.3bt device?
Yes, if the device is 802.3bt compliant and fits within the 90 W per-port and 120 W total limits.
Will powered devices lose power when the switch reboots?
No. Perpetual PoE keeps power on the PoE ports during a switch reboot, and Fast PoE powers devices on a cold start before the switch finishes booting.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface. A controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
Does it include an SFP+ module?
No. The package has the switch, power adapter, power cord, mounting feet and guide. Buy the SFP+ module separately.
