The Omada SG3210XHP-M2 is an 8-port 2.5G L2+ managed PoE+ switch with a 240 W budget and two 10G SFP+ slots, made for jobs where multi-gig access points and cameras need power and speed from one rack-mount box. It manages in the same Omada site as the gateway and APs.

Built for multi-gig AP and camera deployments

All eight RJ45 ports are 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W and run up to 2.5 Gbps, so an AP gets power and a multi-gig link on one cable. The two SFP+ slots carry 10G uplinks. Perpetual PoE keeps cameras powered through a switch reboot and Fast PoE brings them up before the switch finishes booting. The switch has two fans that stay off at lighter PoE loads, and mounts in a 19-inch rack.

Key features

  • 240 W across eight PoE+ ports: up to 30 W per port for APs, PTZs and phones
  • 2.5G on every PoE port for multi-gig Wi-Fi access points
  • Two 10G SFP+ slots for uplinks to the core or a server
  • Perpetual and Fast PoE: devices stay powered through a switch reboot and power up early on a cold start
  • L2+ features: static routing, DHCP server, VLANs, ACLs and ERPS ring recovery

System requirements

Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based Controller (firmware 5.15.22 or later), Omada hardware controller or Omada Software Controller (5.15.20 or later); zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its own web interface and CLI. Powered devices must be 802.3af or 802.3at compliant.

FAQs

How many PoE devices can the SG3210XHP-M2 power?
All 8 ports are PoE+ at up to 30 W, sharing a 240 W budget. Divide 240 W by each device's max draw to size the job.
Will devices lose power when the switch reboots?
No. Perpetual PoE keeps power on the ports during a switch reboot, and Fast PoE powers devices on a cold start before the switch finishes booting.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface and CLI. An Omada controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
How loud is it?
Two fans. TP-Link lists 13.7 dBA at 1 m with a 192 W PoE load at 77°F (25°C), and fanless operation below 210 W PoE load at 77°F (25°C).
Does it come with rack ears?
Yes. A rackmount kit is included for a 19-inch rack, along with rubber feet.
