The Omada SG3452P is a 52-port Gigabit L2+ managed switch with 48 PoE+ ports and a 384 W PoE budget, for dense camera and access point jobs where one rack unit has to power and connect a lot of drops. Four Gigabit SFP slots handle uplinks, and it manages in the same Omada site as the gateway and APs.

Built for high-density camera and AP jobs

Every RJ45 port is 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W, all sharing 384 W, so size the load before you fill the ports. Perpetual PoE keeps cameras powered through a switch reboot and Fast PoE brings them up before the switch finishes booting. Static routing, 802.1Q VLANs, QinQ, ACLs and 802.1X cover segmented camera, voice and guest networks, and the switch mounts in a 19-inch rack.

Key features

  • 48 PoE+ ports sharing 384 W: up to 30 W per port for cameras, APs and phones
  • Perpetual and Fast PoE: devices stay powered through a switch reboot and power up early on a cold start
  • Four Gigabit SFP slots for fiber uplinks
  • L2+ features: static routing, DHCP server, VLANs, QinQ, ACLs and ERPS ring recovery
  • Zero-touch provisioning and batch firmware upgrades through the Omada Cloud-Based Controller

System requirements

Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based Controller (firmware 5.15.22 or later), Omada hardware controller or Omada Software Controller (5.15.20 or later); zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its own web interface and CLI. Powered devices must be 802.3af or 802.3at compliant.

FAQs

How many PoE cameras can the SG3452P power?
All 48 RJ45 ports are PoE+ at up to 30 W, sharing a 384 W budget. Divide 384 W by each camera's max draw to size the job.
Will cameras lose power when the switch reboots?
No. Perpetual PoE keeps power on the ports during a switch reboot, and Fast PoE powers devices on a cold start before the switch finishes booting.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface and CLI. An Omada controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
How loud is it?
Three fans. TP-Link lists 37.0 dBA typical at 1 m (80% PoE load, 77°F/25°C), and fanless operation below 50 W of PoE load.
Does it come with rack ears?
Yes. A rackmount kit is included for a 19-inch rack, along with rubber feet.
