Pairs with

The Versa MINI-433 is a 433 MHz wireless door and window contact for DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 panels, the DSC Impassa and the DSC Alexor. It is a one-way sensor that programs as a standard contact zone. At 0.25 in. deep it sits flat on narrow sashes and tight casing, where a thicker contact stands proud or keeps the window from closing.

Built for fewer callbacks

Versa's patented Bluefield blue LED lights when the magnet is within range, so you confirm alignment at the opening before the tape goes down. A green LED flashes on each transmission and a red LED flags a low battery. Those install LEDs run for 15 minutes after the battery goes in or the cover comes off, then sleep. That is deliberate: it is part of how one CR2032 lasts 5+ years. If a sensor mounted yesterday shows no blue light, slide the cover off to wake the LEDs before you move anything.

The slide-off cover makes battery and color changes tool-free with the sensor still on the frame. Both the transmitter and the magnet mount with the double-faced tape in the box, so a standard opening needs no tools at all.

Key features

  • Bluefield magnet alignment: blue LED confirms the magnet is in range while you are still at the opening
  • 0.25 in. slim profile: 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. transmitter and a 1 x 0.25 x 0.25 in. magnet
  • 1 in. magnet gap on wood: 1/4 in. on metal surfaces
  • 5+ year typical battery life: one Panasonic CR2032 lithium coin cell
  • Slide-off cover: change the battery or the color with the sensor still mounted
  • Surface mount: double-faced tape included for the transmitter and the magnet
  • Enrolls as a standard contact zone: send the device ID with the magnet or type in the serial number

System requirements

DSC control panels that support one-way 433 MHz. A PowerSeries PC1832 or PC1864 needs a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433. The Impassa and the Alexor receive 433 MHz already, so they take the MINI-433 as they are.

FAQs

What DSC panels does the MINI-433 work with?
DSC panels that support one-way 433 MHz: PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 with a 433 MHz receiver, the DSC Impassa, and the DSC Alexor. It programs as a standard contact zone on all of them.
Do I need a receiver for a DSC PowerSeries panel?
Yes, on a PC1832 or PC1864. Add a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433. The Impassa and Alexor receive 433 MHz already and take the MINI-433 as they are.
How do I add the MINI-433 to a DSC panel?
Put the panel in wireless enrollment, then open or close the magnet to send the device ID, or type the serial number in. Finish zone programming per the panel manual and check the blue LED with the door closed.
Will the MINI-433 fit a narrow window frame?
Likely. The transmitter is 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. and the magnet is 1 x 0.25 x 0.25 in. The quarter-inch depth lets it sit flat on a narrow sash instead of standing proud.
What is the magnet gap on the MINI-433?
1 in. on wood and 1/4 in. on metal, both maximums. Mount the transmitter on the frame and the magnet on the moving part, then confirm the blue LED lights with the door or window shut.
The blue light will not come on. Is the magnet out of range?
Probably not. The blue and green LEDs sleep 15 minutes after battery install or cover removal. Slide the cover off to wake them for another 15 minutes, then check the gap.
What battery does the MINI-433 use?
One Panasonic CR2032 3V lithium coin cell, rated 5+ years. Slide the cover off by hand and swap the cell with the sensor still on the frame, plus side up.
How is the MINI-433 different from the MINI-319 and MINI-345?
Only the frequency, which the panel decides. 433 MHz for DSC, 319.5 MHz for Qolsys IQ with the SRF card and GE/Interlogix, 345 MHz for Honeywell, 2GIG and Resideo. The body and LEDs are the same.
Can the MINI-433 be used outdoors?
No. It is an indoor sensor rated for 32°F to 122°F and 95% non-condensing humidity. Keep it away from moisture, foil wallpaper and large metal surfaces.
