Pairs with

The Versa MINI-319 is a 319.5 MHz wireless door and window contact for Qolsys IQ and GE/Interlogix-class panels. At 0.25 in. thick it fits tight casings and narrow window channels, and the high-power neodymium magnet holds a full 1 in. gap on wood, so you spend less time nudging the magnet into place.

Built for fewer callbacks

Versa's patented Bluefield indicator puts the alignment check on the device itself. A blue LED lights when the magnet is in range, a green LED flashes on every transmission, and a red LED flags a low battery. You confirm placement and signal at the door, before the panel or the customer is involved. The LEDs stay active for 15 minutes after the battery goes in or the cover comes off, and sliding the cover off restarts the timer.

The slide-off cover makes battery changes and color swaps tool-free, with no need to pull the electronics out of the plastics. Both a reed switch and a cover tamper report to the panel, and the sensor is supervised, so a silent sensor shows up as a trouble condition. It enrolls as a standard single-zone door contact using your panel's normal autolearn process.

Key features

  • Bluefield magnet alignment: blue LED confirms the magnet is in range, so there is no guesswork on placement
  • Slim 0.25 in. profile: fits narrow window frames and tight casings
  • 1 in. magnet gap on wood: 1/4 in. on metal surfaces, with a neodymium rare earth magnet
  • 5+ year typical battery life: one Panasonic CR2032 lithium coin cell
  • Reed switch plus cover tamper: both reported to the panel, with a unique built-in serial number
  • Slide-off cover: tool-free battery changes and color changes
  • Supplied mounting tape: surface mounts to the frame, or use screws
  • Listed: UL 639 / UL 1023, ULC-S304 / C1023, FCC Part 15 and ISED licence-exempt

Mounting notes

Mount the transmitter on the stationary frame and the magnet on the moving door or window, and run the panel's Go/No Go test before you commit to a location. Keep the sensor and magnet away from metal or metallic surfaces such as foil wallpaper, and avoid spots with a lot of metal or electrical wiring, such as a furnace or utility room. This is an indoor sensor rated for 32°F to 122°F.

System requirements

Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ and IQ Panel 4 models with a built-in 319.5 MHz radio work natively. IQ Panel 5, IQ4/IQ5 Hub and IQ5 NS need the Qolsys 319.5 MHz SRF card installed (IQ Card-319). Each IQ panel runs PowerG plus one legacy band, so a panel fitted with a 345 or 433 MHz card needs the card swapped first. The MINI-319 is a standard 319.5 MHz sensor, not S-Line encrypted, and it can share a panel with S-Line devices. GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 MHz panels also work.

FAQs

Which panels does the Versa MINI-319 work with?
Qolsys IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4, IQ Panel 5, the IQ4 and IQ5 Hubs and IQ5 NS, with a 319.5 MHz radio or SRF card, plus GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 MHz panels. Honeywell and 2GIG need the 345 MHz version.
Do Qolsys IQ panels need a card to enroll 319.5 MHz sensors?
It depends on the model. IQ Panel 2+ and IQ Panel 4 units with a 319.5 MHz radio need nothing extra. IQ Panel 5, the hubs and IQ5 NS need the 319.5 MHz SRF card (IQ Card-319); a 345 or 433 MHz card must be swapped out.
Is the MINI-319 Qolsys S-Line encrypted?
No. It is a standard 319.5 MHz legacy-format sensor, not S-Line. A Qolsys panel with the 319.5 MHz card accepts it and can run S-Line devices alongside it.
How do I enroll the MINI-319 on a Qolsys panel?
Put the panel in Auto Learn, open and close the magnet once, then name the zone, set the zone type and touch ADD. Run the panel's Go/No Go test before mounting permanently.
What do the blue, green and red LEDs mean?
Blue lights when the magnet is in range (1 in. max). Green flashes on each transmission. Red flashes about every five seconds for two minutes after a transmission on low battery. Blue and green stay active 15 minutes.
The LEDs are off. Is the sensor dead?
Probably not. The blue and green install LEDs run on a 15 minute timer after battery insertion or cover removal. Slide the cover off and back on to restart the timer.
How far apart can the magnet and sensor be?
Up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) on wood and 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) on metal. Keep the sensor and magnet away from metal surfaces such as foil wallpaper, and use the blue LED to confirm alignment.
What battery does it use and how long does it last?
One Panasonic CR2032 3V lithium coin cell. Typical life is 5+ years. Slide the cover off to swap it; no tools needed and the electronics stay in the plastics.
Can the MINI-319 be used outdoors?
No. It is rated for indoor use only, 32°F to 122°F, 95% non-condensing humidity. Avoid damp areas and spots that exceed the temperature range.
Is the sensor supervised and does it report tamper?
Yes. It is supervised, so the panel reports trouble if it goes silent. A reed switch and a cover tamper are both reported to the panel.
Does Versa make this contact for other panel frequencies?
Yes. The same Mini contact is made for 345 MHz and 433 MHz systems. Confirm your panel's legacy frequency before ordering, since the bands are not interchangeable.
