The MIRBPS10A Remote Booster Power Supply extends NAC power wherever the job needs it - no new panel run required. Drop it on an existing notification appliance circuit, wire up to four Class B (or two Class A) output circuits rated at 3 amps each, and let the built-in battery charger handle standby. UL 864 10th Edition listed for fire alarm, Mass Notification/Emergency Communication (MNEC), and life safety applications.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The BPS installs in indoor dry locations and cascades cleanly - existing NAC end-of-line resistors stay where they are, and multiple boosters can stack on a single circuit without special configuration. Dual-input activation circuits accept 6 to 45 VDC filtered or 11 to 33 VDC unfiltered, so it integrates with virtually any FACP on the market. The steel enclosure has room for up to two 10 Ah batteries internally, or pair it with an external battery cabinet for up to 65 Ah of standby. Can I cascade multiple boosters on one NAC circuit?
Yes. Existing NAC end-of-line resistors do not need to be installed at the booster's terminals. Multiple boosters can be driven from a single NAC circuit without special configuration.
Does this support Class A NAC wiring?
Yes. The four Class B output circuits are field-convertible to two Class A circuits.
What battery backup options are available?
The enclosure holds up to two 10-amp-hour batteries internally. For longer standby, pair it with an external battery cabinet (BC-1 or BC-2) for up to 65 amp-hours of backup capacity.
Can the NAC outputs be used for auxiliary power instead?
Yes. All four NAC outputs can be field-configured as auxiliary 24 VDC outputs (19.1 to 27.0 VDC). A dedicated 200 mA AUX output is always available. AUX circuits can auto-deactivate 30s after AC loss for door holder use.
What signal rates does the BPS support?
Continuous, 3-3-3 temporal, or follow the coded signal rate of the installed fire alarm control panel's NAC. This lets you match the main system or run independent signaling where needed.
Is this seismic rated?
Optional. Order the BPSEQ Seismic Kit for OSHPD seismic pre-approval at component Importance Factor 1.5. Anchorage to site structure may require local AHJ or structural engineer review.
