The Kidde APS10A delivers 10 amps of filtered, regulated 24VDC power for notification appliance circuits and auxiliary loads on commercial fire alarm systems. When the main FACP runs short on NAC capacity, this unit drops in wherever supplemental power is needed - no panel swap, no rip-and-replace.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

Four independently supervised Class B NAC circuits (convertible to two Class A) provide up to 3A each, with 10A total output across all circuits. Dual-input activation accepts 6 to 45 VDC or 11 to 33 Vrms full-wave rectified, so the APS10A works as a booster behind virtually any existing panel's signaling output. UL 864 10th Edition listed, ULC-S527 listed for Canadian installations, FM Approved, and NYC Fire Department COA.

Module expansion

The cabinet includes mounting bosses for SIGA-AA30 or SIGA-AA50 dual-channel audio amplifiers, GSA-UIO modules, GSA-REL releasing modules, and an MN-BRKT3F bracket for Ethernet switches and VoIP modules. This makes the APS10A a flexible expansion point for Mass Notification/Emergency Communication (MNEC) applications beyond basic NAC power.

System requirements

Requires connection to an existing fire alarm control panel signaling circuit or a Kidde Signature Series control module for activation. Indoor dry location installation only. Accommodates 18 to 12 AWG wiring. Batteries sold separately.

How many NAC circuits does the APS10A provide?

What battery sizes does the APS10A support?
6.5 to 65 Ah batteries for fire applications. The steel enclosure fits up to two 12V 24 Ah batteries internally. For 40, 50, or 65 Ah batteries, order the BC-1 external battery cabinet separately.
Can the APS10A be used for Mass Notification (MNEC)?
