The EBPS10A Booster Power Supply adds 10 amps of supervised 24 Vdc power anywhere the job needs it, without pulling a new run back to the panel. Land it on an existing notification appliance circuit, configure up to four Class B (or two Class A) outputs at 3 amps each, and let the on-board charger carry the standby batteries. UL 864 10th Edition listed for fire alarm, Mass Notification/Emergency Communication (MNEC), and life safety work.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Cascading is the reason this unit saves time on a retrofit. Existing NAC end-of-line resistors stay exactly where they are, so several boosters can hang off one circuit with no special configuration and no re-engineering of the riser. The dual-input activation circuits accept 6 to 45 Vdc filtered-regulated or 11 to 33 Vdc full-wave rectified, which means it drops onto effectively any FACP already in the building. The keyed steel cabinet holds two 10 Ah batteries internally, or pairs with a BC-1 or BC-2 battery cabinet for up to 65 Ah of standby.

Seven on-board diagnostic LEDs (one per NAC, plus battery, ground fault, and AC power) mean a trouble call gets diagnosed at the enclosure instead of by process of elimination. Listed under UL, ULC, CSFM, NYC Fire Dept., and FM.

The enclosure is punched for 3/4-inch conduit and terminals accept 18 to 12 AWG. Batteries and the external battery cabinet are ordered separately.

Can I cascade multiple boosters on one NAC circuit?
Yes. Existing NAC end-of-line resistors do not need to be installed at the booster's terminals, so multiple boosters can be driven from a single notification appliance circuit without special configuration.
Does the EBPS10A support Class A NAC wiring?
Yes. The four Class B output circuits are field-convertible to two Class A circuits.
What fire alarm panels does this work with?
Any FACP with a NAC output. The dual-input activation circuits accept 6 to 45 VDC filtered-regulated or 11 to 33 VDC full-wave rectified, covering effectively any panel. It also drives from Signature Series modules (CC1(S), CT1, CT2).
How much battery backup can it support?
The cabinet holds up to two 10 amp-hour batteries internally. For longer standby, pair it with a BC-1 or BC-2 external battery cabinet for up to 65 amp-hours. Note that for the FM listing the maximum battery size is 24 Ah.
Can the NAC outputs be used as auxiliary 24V power instead?
Yes. All four outputs can be field-configured as auxiliary 24 VDC (19.1 to 27.0 VDC), and a dedicated 200 mA AUX output is always available. AUX circuits can be set to drop 30 seconds after AC loss, which suits door holder applications.
What is the difference between the EBPS6A and the EBPS10A?
Output capacity. Both units share the same enclosure, four-circuit architecture, and 3A per-circuit rating. The EBPS6A delivers 6.5A total across all NACs at 390 watts input; the EBPS10A delivers 10A total at 580 watts.
Can this be installed outdoors?
No. The EBPS10A is listed for indoor dry locations only, rated 32 to 120 F at 0 to 93% non-condensing humidity.
Is a seismic-rated version available?
Yes, as an option. Order the BPSEQ seismic kit for OSHPD pre-approval at component Importance Factor 1.5. Anchorage to the site structure may require review by the local AHJ or a structural engineer.
