SKU:
KD-MIRBPS6A

The MIRBPS6A drops reliable, supervised 24 VDC power right where your NAC expansion needs it - no rewiring back to the main panel. Four independent Class B circuits (convertible to two Class A) handle notification appliances or auxiliary power for Mass Notification/Emergency Communication (MNEC) and life safety applications, each rated at 3 amps per circuit with a 6.5 amp total capacity.

Built for the commercial fire installer

UL 864 10th Edition listed and carrying ULC, CSFM, NYC Fire Department, and FM approvals, the BPS fits fire alarm, burglar alarm, and holdup alarm system expansions under a single multi-listed device. Genesis and Enhanced Integrity notification appliance synchronization is built in, with coded output support for seamless integration into existing NAC signal schemes - continuous, 3-3-3 temporal, or follow the installed panel's rate.

Key features

  • Four supervised NAC circuits: Class B standard, field-convertible to two Class A - each rated 3A, 6.5A total
  • Dual-input activation: accepts 6-45 VDC filtered or 11-33 VDC unfiltered, allowing cascaded or independent control from the FACP
  • Genesis and Enhanced Integrity sync: built-in synchronization for Kidde notification appliances
  • Signature module mounting: accommodates up to three two-gang Signature modules inside the enclosure
  • Battery flexibility: internal capacity for two 10 Ah batteries, expandable to 65 Ah with an external battery cabinet
  • Seismic-ready: optional OSHPD seismic pre-approval for component Importance Factor 1.5

System requirements

The BPS operates on 120 VAC (220-240 VAC international model also available) and connects to the existing fire alarm control panel via its dual sense inputs. Activation can come from any FACP NAC output or Kidde Signature Series control modules. Standard Kidde Commercial keyed lockable red steel cabinet with 3/4-in. conduit knockouts.

How many NAC circuits does the MIRBPS6A provide?
Four Class B circuits, field-convertible to two Class A. Each circuit is rated at 3 amps, with a 6.5 amp total capacity across all circuits.
Can the BPS be cascaded on an existing NAC circuit?
Yes. Multiple boosters can be cascaded on a single NAC circuit without moving end-of-line resistors. The BPS activates from any voltage between 6-45 VDC filtered or 11-33 VDC unfiltered.
Does it support Genesis notification appliance synchronization?
Yes. Built-in synchronization for Genesis and Enhanced Integrity notification appliances maintains proper flash rate and timing across all connected devices.
What battery backup does this unit support?
The cabinet holds two 10 Ah batteries internally. For longer standby, external battery cabinets (BC-1 or BC-2) support up to 65 Ah for fire and MNEC applications.
Is this listed for use in seismic zones?
Optional earthquake hardening is available with the BPSEQ seismic kit, providing OSHPD pre-approval for component Importance Factor 1.5.
What signal rates are available on the NAC outputs?
Continuous, 3-3-3 temporal, or coded follow mode that mirrors the installed panel's NAC signal rate for seamless expansion of existing notification circuits.
