SKU:
KD-K-FSRA10C

The Kidde K-FSRA10C extends fire alarm visibility and control to a secondary location without a trip back to the main FACP. Ten pairs of zone LEDs deliver at-a-glance alarm and trouble indication per zone, while five system status LEDs and full common controls keep building management connected from wherever the annunciator is mounted.

Built for the commercial fire installer

RS-485 communication ties the annunciator back to the FACP over standard twisted-pair wiring, supporting both Class A and Class B topologies for code compliance flexibility. UL, ULC, and FM listed. Mounts on a standard North American 4-inch square electrical box using the included mounting ring, or surface-mounts in an optional RA-series locking steel enclosure. Powered directly from the FACP at 24 VDC - no separate power supply run required.

Key features

  • 10 zone LED pairs: dedicated alarm and trouble indication per zone for quick visual identification from across the room
  • System status LEDs: Power, Fire Alarm, Supervisory, Ground Fault, and Trouble visible at a glance
  • Full common controls: Ack/Silence, Reset, Drill, and Lamp Test without walking back to the FACP
  • Standard 4-inch box mounting: same electrical box prep as every other fire device on the job
  • Class A or Class B wiring: supports both RS-485 topologies, up to 4,000 ft wire runs
  • No separate power supply: draws 24 VDC directly from the fire alarm control panel

System requirements

Requires a compatible Kidde fire alarm control panel with RS-485 annunciator bus support. Data wiring: 18 to 14 AWG twisted pair, 6 twists per foot minimum, maximum 4,000 ft run. Optional RA-series locking steel enclosures and remote keyswitch (RKEY) available separately.

What fire alarm panels is the K-FSRA10C compatible with?
The K-FSRA10C is part of the Kidde Commercial annunciator family. The R-Series annunciators support Kidde FX64, FX1000, VS1, VS4, EVOLVE, and VM panels. Verify your specific panel model with Kidde or your SS&Si rep before ordering.
Does the K-FSRA10C require programming?
No panel programming is required. Set the RS-485 network address using the onboard DIP switches and the annunciator receives zone and status information directly from the FACP.
How does the annunciator communicate with the fire panel?
RS-485 serial data communication over twisted pair wiring. Supports both Class A (DCLA) and Class B (DCLB) wiring configurations, with a maximum wire run of 4,000 ft using 18 to 14 AWG twisted pair with a minimum of 6 twists per foot.
What mounting options are available?
Mounts on a standard 4-inch square electrical box with the included ring. For surface mounting, optional RA-series locking steel enclosures come in one-position (RA-ENC1), two-position (RA-ENC2), and three-position (RA-ENC3) configs.
Does the annunciator need its own power supply?
No. The K-FSRA10C draws 24 VDC directly from the fire alarm control panel. A separate UL/ULC-listed 24 VDC power supply can be used if the installation requires it.
