The Kidde Genesis LED EGC ceiling horn-strobe delivers field-selectable candela (15 to 115 cd) and multiple tone patterns from a single low-profile ceiling-mount device. LED technology means lower current draw and longer service life than legacy xenon strobes, reducing truck rolls for lamp replacements across large commercial installations.
Built for the commercial installer
The EGCAVWN mounts on any standard 4-inch square electrical box with the included room-side wiring plate, so existing ceiling rough-ins work without modification. Genesis synchronization keeps every strobe on the NAC circuit flashing in unison per UL 1971 requirements. UL 464, UL 1638, ULC-S525, and ULC-S541 listed. White housing with no marking for applications where "FIRE" lettering is not required or where the AHJ approves alternate marking.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, 75, 95, 110, or 115 cd - set on-device, no need to stock multiple SKUs
- Multiple tone patterns: temporal, non-temporal steady, coded, and march time to match existing system programming
- LED technology: lower current draw per candela setting than xenon, extending NAC circuit device capacity
- Room-side wiring plate included: wire connections accessible from the room side after the base is mounted
- Genesis sync protocol: synchronizes strobe flash with all Genesis devices on the circuit
- Standard 4" square box mounting: drops into existing ceiling rough-ins with no adapter plates
System requirements
Requires a supervised NAC circuit providing 16-33V DC (full-wave rectified or filtered). Compatible with Kidde fire alarm control panels and any NAC power supply within the rated voltage range. Wire size: 12-18 AWG.
