SKU:
KD-EG1F-CVM

The EG1F-CVM packs a private-mode chime and a field-selectable strobe into one of the most compact UL 1971-listed signals available - about the size of a deck of cards, protruding less than an inch from the wall.

Built for the commercial fire installer

FullLight strobe technology delivers a smooth, even light distribution that exceeds UL 1971 requirements without bulky reflectors, and the strobe's 15/30/75/110 cd output is set with a side-mounted switch that stays visible after installation. The chime produces a pleasing 79 dBA tone suited to private-mode signaling, with non-coded, temporal, or single-stroke coded operation available (coded requires an EG1M Signal Master). Pre-assembled with captive mounting hardware, it fits a standard 1-gang box with no trim plate needed.

Key features

  • Field-selectable strobe: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd
  • Private-mode chime, non-coded, temporal, or coded operation
  • FIRE-marked for clear identification
  • Fits standard 1-gang boxes - no trim plate required
  • Single pair of wires for chime and strobe together
  • Genesis-compatible synchronization with an external control module

System requirements

Flush mount: 2-1/2 in. deep 1-gang box. Surface mount: Model 27193 surface box or equivalent. Strobe requires continuous (not pulsed) voltage, 16-33 Vdc. Coded chime operation and full UL 1971 strobe sync require an EG1M or EG1M-RM Genesis Signal Master.

Is this an audible-visible or visible-only device?
Both. The EG1F-CVM combines a private-mode chime with a strobe on a single pair of wires.
Can I set the chime to coded operation?
Yes. Single-stroke coded operation requires an EG1M Genesis Signal Master, which times the chime to match the control panel's coded output.
Can I change the strobe candela after installation?
Yes. Open the device and slide the switch to 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd; the setting stays visible through a side window once closed.
Is this suitable for public-mode alarm signaling?
The chime is intended for private-mode applications. For public-mode audible signaling, use a Genesis horn or horn-strobe instead.
