The Genesis LED EG4SVWF is a wall-mount speaker/strobe that delivers voice evacuation audio and visual strobe notification from a single appliance. Selectable candela output (15, 30, 75, or 110 cd) lets you match the notification zone without swapping models. Mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, or 4-inch square electrical boxes with the GP10 room-side wiring plate included for pre-wire convenience.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The EG4 Series uses LED strobe technology that draws less current per device than legacy xenon-type strobes, putting more appliances on each NAC circuit and reducing booster power supply requirements. LED and xenon Genesis strobes can share the same synchronized circuit, so you can upgrade jobs incrementally without ripping and replacing. Strobe synchronization meets UL requirements (within 10 ms over a two-hour period) when used with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, or Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels.

Mounting and serviceability

Fits standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes (minimum 1-1/2 inch deep). Optional EG4TW white trim plate covers oversized box openings. Under-cover diagnostic test points let you check the circuit without pulling the device off the wall. Accepts 12-18 AWG in-out screw terminals.

FAQs

How many EG4 speaker/strobes fit on one NAC circuit?
Depends on FACP NAC amperage and the device's current draw at your selected settings. EG4 LED strobes draw less than xenon types, fitting more devices per circuit. Check the spec sheet current draw table against your panel's NAC rating.
Can I change the candela setting after installation?
Yes. A slide switch on the left side sets candela to 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd. The selected setting stays visible through a window when the cover is closed. No need to remove the device from the wall.
Can I mix EG4 LED strobes with older xenon Genesis strobes?
Yes. EG4 LED and legacy xenon Genesis strobes synchronize on the same NAC circuit. Add EG4 devices to existing Genesis installations without replacing older appliances.
What fire alarm panels work with this device?
Compatible with Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels. Sync sources include CC Series Signal Modules and Booster/Auxiliary Power Supplies. Non-Kidde panels work if NAC output is 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR.
Is a back box included?
No. Mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5" octagon, or 4" square boxes (min. 1-1/2" deep). The GP10 room-side wiring plate IS included. Optional 27T93-26 white surface-mount box available separately.
