The Kidde Genesis LED EG1AVWN is a compact wall-mount horn-strobe that fits standard single-gang electrical boxes and pulls less current than legacy Xenon notification appliances. Selectable 15, 30, or 75 candela output and switchable high/low horn volume let you set the device to the job without swapping hardware. White housing, no FIRE marking - ready for applications where code requires notification without fire-specific labeling.

Built for the commercial installer

The EG1 Series mounts directly to 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square boxes with a minimum depth of 1-1/2 inches. Candela and tone settings are field-adjustable under the cover, and the selected candela setting stays visible through a window on the housing side - no guessing during inspections. LED technology means lower NAC circuit loading and longer device life compared to Xenon strobes, and the EG1 can run on the same circuit alongside legacy Xenon devices without compatibility issues.

Can Genesis LED EG1 strobes be mixed with existing Xenon strobes on the same circuit?
Yes. EG1 LED strobes can operate on the same NAC circuit and in the same field of view as legacy Xenon-based Genesis strobes. No need to rip and replace existing devices to start using LED notification appliances.
What electrical boxes does the EG1 fit?
Standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square boxes with a minimum depth of 1-1/2 inches. For boxes wider than 3 inches, use the optional EG1TW trim ring for a clean finished look.
How do I change the candela or sound settings?
Remove the cover and slide the candela switch (15/30/75 cd) or tone switch (constant/temporal, high/low dB). Device stays mounted during adjustment. Candela setting visible through a side window for fast inspection.
