The FX-10RD is the FX-10R ten-zone conventional fire alarm control panel with an upload/download DACT and modem built in. Ten Class B initiating device circuits and four Class B notification appliance circuits come standard, with pairs of each convertible to single Class A circuits in the field.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Adding central station reporting as a separate dialer means another assembly to mount, power, and supervise inside an already busy cabinet. Building it into the panel removes that, and the upload/download capability means programming changes can be made remotely rather than by driving to site for every zone label edit.

The 7.0 amp NAC supply across four circuits carries most notification loads without a booster, and the cabinet charges up to two 24 Ah batteries with 18 Ah fitting internally. Listed under UL 864 (S3000), ULC-S527, CSFM, and FDNY.

System requirements

Requires a dedicated 120 Vac 60 Hz branch circuit at 2.2 amps, and two loop-start telephone lines on the public switched network for the DACT, connected through RJ31X or RJ38X jacks. Terminals accept 18 to 12 AWG. Batteries are ordered separately. The F-TRIM10R trim ring finishes a semi-flush installation, and the FSRA10 or FSRA10C provides remote annunciation. Consult detector compatibility list 3101019-EN for maximum detectors per circuit.

What is the difference between the FX-10R and the FX-10RD?
The FX-10RD adds a built-in upload/download DACT and modem for central station reporting and remote programming. Circuit counts, NAC power, and the enclosure are otherwise identical.
How many phone lines does the DACT need?
One or two loop-start lines on the public switched telephone network, connected through RJ31X or RJ38X jacks. It supports two receivers with two phone numbers each.
What reporting formats does it support?
Contact ID (SIA DC-05) and 4/2 (SIA DC-02 P3). Programming is done from the front panel controls or from a PC with the appropriate software.
Can the circuits be wired Class A?
Yes. Pairs of IDCs convert to single Class A circuits, giving 10 Class B through 5 Class A. The NACs convert the same way.
Do I need a NAC booster?
Usually not. The panel supplies 7.0 amps total across four circuits at 2.0 amps each, which covers most small and mid-size notification loads.
Can this panel be semi-flush mounted?
Yes. Order the F-TRIM10R semi-flush trim ring separately, and add 1.5 inches to the height and width when the trim kit is used.
