Replacement return air exhaust tube for the Kidde SuperDuct series of duct smoke detectors. This tube routes sampled air from the detector's sensing chamber back into the HVAC duct, completing the airflow circuit that makes duct smoke detection work. Keep spares on hand so a cracked or missing tube doesn't leave a detector offline.
Built for the commercial installer
The DDOS-RET is a direct drop-in for the exhaust tube included with SuperDuct SD-4W (four-wire) and SD-2W (two-wire) duct smoke detectors. It installs from the air duct side of the detector housing with a snap-fit connection - no special tools, no need to open or remove the detector cover.
Key features
- Direct replacement: drop-in fit for all SuperDuct SD-4W and SD-2W duct smoke detector assemblies
- Snap-fit installation: seats directly into the detector's exhaust tube socket from the duct side
- No tools required: swap out a damaged tube in under a minute without pulling the detector
- Completes the airflow circuit: returns sampled air from the sensing chamber back into the HVAC duct
System requirements
Requires a Kidde SuperDuct duct smoke detector (SD-4W or SD-2W series). The return air tube installs into the exhaust port on the detector housing. Air sampling tubes (SD-T series) are ordered separately based on duct width.
