The Kidde SD-T18 is an 18-inch rigid metal air sampling tube for SuperDuct duct smoke detectors. It extends into the HVAC duct cross-section to draw air into the detector's sensing chamber, catching smoke conditions before they spread through the building's ventilation system.

Built for the commercial installer

Standard SuperDuct sampling tube spacing makes this a direct drop-in for new installs and replacements. The tube inserts from either the duct side or from inside the sensor compartment without opening the detector housing. It rotates in 45-degree increments so the air inlet holes align properly with duct airflow regardless of mounting orientation.

System requirements

Requires a Kidde SuperDuct duct smoke detector (SD-2W or SD-4W series). The sampling tube connects to the detector assembly's sampling tube socket. An exhaust tube (included with the detector, not with this accessory) returns sampled air to the duct. Minimum duct air velocity of 100 ft/min required for proper airflow through the sampling tube.
