The Kidde SD-T42 is a 42-inch rigid air sampling tube for SuperDuct duct smoke detectors. It slides directly into the detector housing and samples air across the full width of a 42-inch duct, feeding it to the detector's sensing chamber for reliable smoke detection in HVAC systems.
Built for fast duct detector installs
The tube installs from the front or back side of the SuperDuct housing and rotates in 45-degree increments to align sampling holes with duct airflow. Compatible with both four-wire (SD-4W series) and two-wire (SD-2W series) SuperDuct detectors. If you're replacing an older duct detector, the standard tube dimensions make it a straightforward swap.
Key features
- 42-inch coverage: spans full duct width for complete air sampling
- Front or back mounting: flexible installation depending on duct access
- 45-degree rotation increments: align sampling holes to airflow direction without cutting or modifying
- Drop-in compatible: works with Kidde SuperDuct SD-2W and SD-4W series detectors
