Standard Duct Housing for KI-Series & Optica Intelligent Detectors

The Kidde KI-SDH is a standard duct housing that provides the mounting enclosure for Kidde KI-series and Optica intelligent smoke detectors on HVAC ductwork. The red steel housing holds the detector, sampling tube, and exhaust tube connections in one duct-mounted package - no separate enclosure or field fabrication required.

Built for the commercial installer

The KI-SDH gives installers a universal mounting platform for duct smoke detection across Kidde intelligent systems. It accepts both legacy KI-series and current Optica intelligent detectors, so a single housing SKU covers multiple detector generations. The housing mounts directly to the duct wall with standard #10 sheet metal screws through pre-punched mounting holes.

System requirements

Requires a compatible Kidde intelligent duct smoke detector (KI-series or Optica, ordered separately) and a sampling tube sized to the duct width. The detector connects to a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel via the SLC loop.
