The KI-COD is a dedicated addressable carbon monoxide detector for jobs where CO monitoring is required on its own SLC address, separate from heat or smoke detection. It reports directly to a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel and drops into the same KI-series bases already stocked for other detectors on the loop.

The CO sensor meets UL 2034 alarm thresholds (70 ppm at 60-240 minutes, 150 ppm at 10-50 minutes, 400 ppm at 4-15 minutes) and carries a 10-year service life from date of manufacture, with automatic end-of-life trouble reporting at the panel so replacement isn't guesswork. Standard, relay, isolator, and audible sounder bases all fit this detector, keeping retrofit jobs on existing wiring.

System requirements
Requires a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel and a KI-series detector base (sold separately). Mounts to standard 1-gang, 3-1/2" or 4" octagon, and 4" square electrical boxes. For a local sounder, pair with a KI-ABDT or KI-ABLT base and an FX-T3T4 Temporal Pattern Generator.
