The KI-OSHCD covers smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide in a single addressable head, so an installer doesn't have to spec and mount three separate devices to satisfy fire and CO code requirements in the same space.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Dual optical wavelengths and multi-angle particle detection reject nuisance sources like cooking particulates before they trip an alarm, while onboard rate-of-rise heat sensing (15°F/min) and a 135°F fixed threshold catch fast-developing fires the smoke sensor alone might miss. The CO sensor meets UL 2034 alarm thresholds and reports its own end-of-life condition to the panel, so replacement is scheduled instead of discovered. On-board intelligence means the detector only talks to the loop controller when it has something new to report, keeping communication fast and stable.

Yes. The smoke and heat sensors are analyzed independently from the CO sensor, so the panel can distinguish a fire alarm, a CO alarm, or both.
How long does the CO sensor last?
10 years from the date of manufacture, or until the control panel reports an end-of-life condition, whichever comes first.
Can this detector sound an audible alarm at the device?
Yes, with a KI-ABST, KI-ABDT, or KI-ABLT audible base. Separating Fire and CO tone patterns requires an FX-T3T4 Tone Generator.
