SKU:
KD-SA-ETH

The SA-ETH card gives a compatible Kidde fire alarm panel a standard 10/100 Ethernet connection for uploading and downloading panel configuration, history, and status to a PC running the configuration utility, or for connecting to a compatible central monitoring station receiver over the network.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The card mounts to the panel's plastic assembly and connects to the main circuit board through a single ribbon cable, so installation is a bracket-and-cable job rather than a full board swap. Four status LEDs (link, speed, duplex, collision) give a quick read on network health right at the card, and the card must be configured through panel programming before it's live on the network.

Key features

  • Standard 10/100 Base-T Ethernet with RJ-45 connector, auto-negotiation
  • Remote programming and diagnostics Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ upload/download configuration, history, and status over the network instead of an on-site laptop connection
  • Central station connectivity Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ connect to a compatible monitoring receiver over the network
  • Four on-board status LEDs for link, speed, duplex, and collision at a glance
  • 200 ft. max. run from panel to network equipment on Cat 5 cable

System compatibility

Installs on the plastic assembly of a compatible Kidde/Edwards fire alarm panel, connecting to the main circuit board's J1 connector via ribbon cable (P/N 7140189). Requires panel programming for proper operation.

What does the SA-ETH do?
It adds a standard 10/100 Ethernet connection to a compatible fire alarm panel for remote programming, diagnostics, history uploads, and connection to a compatible central monitoring receiver over a network.
How does the card connect to the panel?
It mounts to the panel's plastic assembly and connects to the main circuit board via a ribbon cable at connector J1, located at the top-right of the main board.
Does the card need to be programmed after installation?
Yes. The SA-ETH must be configured through panel programming before it functions on the network.
What's the maximum cable run to network equipment?
