A pull on the lever breaks the glass rod and sounds an alarm on all presignal indicating devices, with a pull force under 5 lb to keep the station ADA compliant. A built-in general alarm keyswitch (SPST) lets authorized personnel initiate full building evacuation by inserting a key and turning it - no separate keyswitch device to mount. Solid die-cast metal construction with a red finish and aluminum accent strips stands up to decades of service.
