SKU:
KD-K-270A-SPO

The Kidde K-270A-SPO is a non-coded break glass fire alarm pull station built for conventional fire alarm systems. Die-cast metal construction handles the abuse of high-traffic commercial spaces, and the break glass design provides clear visual evidence of activation - no ambiguity on a trouble call.

Built for the commercial installer

Mounts flush on a standard 4-inch North American square box with a single gang plaster cover, or surface-mounts using Kidde's cast box (P-027193) or steel box (P-039250). Single pole, open circuit configuration with 6-inch wire leads for straightforward wiring. Less than 5 lb pull force makes it ADA compliant out of the box. UL listed (S2318).

Key features

  • Die-cast metal construction stands up to high-traffic commercial environments
  • Break glass activation provides tamper-evident, single-action operation
  • ADA compliant - less than 5 lb pull force required

What type of circuit does the K-270A-SPO use?
Single pole, open circuit. The station breaks the monitoring circuit when the glass is pulled, signaling the fire alarm control panel.
Is this pull station ADA compliant?
Yes. Requires less than 5 lb of pull force to activate, meeting ADA accessibility requirements.
What box do I need for a flush mount installation?
A standard 4-inch North American square electrical box with a single gang plaster cover.
Can this be surface mounted?
Yes. Use the Kidde cast mounting box (P-027193) or the steel mounting box (P-039250), both sold separately.
Is this pull station UL listed?
Yes. UL listed under file number S2318.
What is the difference between coded and non-coded pull stations?
Non-coded stations provide a single alarm signal when activated. Coded stations send a repeating pattern identifying the station. Non-coded is standard for panel-based systems where the FACP handles zone identification.
