The FX-1000-2 is the 230 volt version of the FX-1000 intelligent fire alarm control panel. It ships with one 250-point loop installed and expands to four loops and 1,000 device addresses, with four notification appliance circuits, in a red surface-mount enclosure.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Buying capacity you do not need yet is wasted money; discovering you have none left mid-project is worse. This panel resolves that by expanding in 250-point increments through additional loop controller modules, so the head-end grows with the building instead of being replaced by it.

Each loop takes up to 125 detectors and 125 modules, addressed with rotary switches and mapped automatically by the panel. Loops wire Class A or Class B in Styles 4, 6, or 7 with up to 124 T-taps per loop. Four NACs deliver 6.0 A total, wired Class A or Class B.

Note that this variant runs on 230 VAC. For 110 VAC installations, order the FX-1000 instead.

Requires 230 VAC at 0.97 A max. Two 18 Ah batteries fit inside the FX-1000 cabinet; larger batteries need an external Kidde battery cabinet. The dialer is ordered separately. Order the SA-TRIM2 for a flush-mount installation. See compatibility list 3102355-EN for supported devices.

What is the difference between the FX-1000 and the FX-1000-2?
Supply voltage. The FX-1000-2 is the 230 VAC version; the standard FX-1000 is 110 VAC. Loop capacity, NAC count, and everything else are identical.
How far can the FX-1000-2 expand?
It ships with one 250-point loop and accepts loop controller modules in 250-point increments up to four loops and 1,000 device addresses total.
How are addresses split between detectors and modules?
Per loop, addresses 1 to 125 are for detectors and addresses 126 to 250 are for modules, giving a maximum of 125 of each per loop.
Can the NACs be wired Class A?
Yes. The four circuits wire as four Class B (Style Y) or two Class A (Style Z), with 2.5 A maximum per circuit and 6.0 A total.
What batteries fit inside the cabinet?
Two 18 amp-hour sealed lead acid batteries fit inside the FX-1000 cabinet. Larger batteries require an external Kidde battery cabinet.
Is the dialer included?
No, it is ordered separately. The SA-DACT2 mounts inside the panel and reports to central station over one or two loop-start lines using Contact ID.
