The FX-1000-RE is a drop-in replacement electronics assembly for the Kidde FX-1000 intelligent fire alarm control panel. It ships with one 250-point SLC loop controller supporting 125 detectors and 125 modules, and can be expanded to four loops (1,000 total device addresses) with additional FX-SLC1 or FX-SLC2 loop controller modules.
Built for the commercial fire alarm installer
When an FX-1000 panel needs a board-level swap rather than a full enclosure replacement, the FX-1000-RE gets you back online without rewiring. The replacement assembly drops into the existing FX-1000 backbox and reconnects to the same terminal blocks - SLC loops, four NACs, annunciator bus, auxiliary power, and relay outputs. UL and ULC listed (S3000), NYC Fire Department approved.
Key capabilities
- 250-point SLC loop included: supports 125 detectors and 125 modules out of the box, expandable to four loops (1,000 points) with FX-SLC1 or FX-SLC2 modules
- Four NACs: Class B (Style Y) or Class A (Style Z) wiring, 6.0A FWR total, with built-in Genesis LED strobe synchronization to UL 1971
- Auto-programming: rotary-addressed devices map automatically on startup, cutting commissioning time on retrofit jobs
- Retrofit-friendly: standard wiring throughout, no shielded cable required - reuse existing wire runs
- ConnectedSafety+ ready: pair with the KCG1 cellular gateway for cloud-based remote diagnostics, real-time notifications, and central station monitoring over 5G LTE-M
- Remote annunciation: supports up to eight RS-485 annunciators (LCD, LED, or graphic interface) on a 4,000 ft data line
System compatibility
The FX-1000-RE installs into an existing FX-1000 panel enclosure. Supports optional SA-ETH Ethernet, SA-DACT2 dialer, SA-232 RS-232, SA-USB, and KCG1 cellular gateway cards. The RZI16-2RS remote zone interface module adds 16 conventional IDCs and two additional NACs for mixed intelligent/conventional installations.
