SKU:
KD-FX-64R-2

The Kidde FX-64R-2 is a compact intelligent fire alarm control panel built for single-loop commercial jobs where a full-size FACP is overkill. One SLC loop handles up to 64 addressable points - detectors, modules, pull stations, whatever the job calls for - and two built-in NAC circuits drive notification appliances without an external booster on smaller systems.

Built for the commercial installer

The FX-64 runs on 230 VAC (50-60 Hz), making it the right pick for international or dual-voltage sites. The SLC loop supports Class B or Class A wiring (Styles 4, 6, and 7) to match the AHJ's requirements without extra hardware. NAC circuits ship as Class B (Style Y) with an optional Class A (Style Z) upgrade. Programming happens through the front panel keypad and LCD or via the FX-CU configuration utility over USB.

Up to 8 remote annunciator drops connect over RS-485 with runs up to 4,000 ft., covering large footprint buildings from a single panel location. Optional SA-DACT2 dialer, SA-ETH Ethernet, and SA-FSB Field Server Bridge modules add phone line reporting, IP communication, and BACnet/Modbus integration for BMS tie-ins.

Key features

  • 64 addressable points on one SLC loop - handles small-to-midsize commercial occupancies without needing a multi-loop panel
  • Two built-in NAC circuits totaling 3.0 A FWR at 230 VAC (50 Hz), each circuit rated up to 2.5 A
  • Class B or Class A SLC wiring (Styles 4, 6, 7) - configure to the AHJ's code requirements
  • 230 VAC primary power (50-60 Hz) for international and dual-voltage installations
  • Surface mount red enclosure with room for two 10 Ah sealed lead acid batteries inside the cabinet
  • Up to 8 remote annunciator drops via RS-485, max 4,000 ft. data line run
  • Optional communication modules: DACT dialer, Ethernet/IP, and BACnet/Modbus Field Server Bridge

System requirements

The FX-64R-2 works with Kidde intelligent SLC devices including the Optica detector line, intelligent pull stations, and addressable I/O modules. Requires 230 VAC primary power and 24 VDC sealed lead acid batteries for standby. Larger battery configurations require a separate Kidde BC-1 or BC-1R battery cabinet.

How many devices can the FX-64R-2 support?
Up to 64 addressable devices (any combination of intelligent detectors and modules) on a single SLC loop. The loop supports Class B or Class A wiring to match your AHJ's requirements.
Can the NAC circuits be wired Class A?
Yes. The two NAC circuits ship as Class B (Style Y) and can be optionally configured as Class A (Style Z) for enhanced survivability.
What batteries fit inside the FX-64 cabinet?
Up to two 10 Ah sealed lead acid batteries (24 VDC) fit inside the surface mount enclosure. Larger standby configurations require a separate Kidde BC-1 or BC-1R battery cabinet.
Does the FX-64R-2 support remote annunciators?
Yes. Up to 8 remote annunciator drops via RS-485 (Class B standard, Class A optional), with a maximum data line length of 4,000 ft. (1,219 m).
What communication options are available?
Optional SA-DACT2 dialer for phone line reporting, SA-ETH for Ethernet/IP communication, and SA-FSB Field Server Bridge for BACnet/Modbus integration with building management systems.
Is the SLC loop compatible with Kidde Optica detectors?
Yes. The FX-64R-2 supports the full range of Kidde intelligent SLC devices, including the Optica detector line, intelligent pull stations, sounder bases, and addressable I/O modules.
