The 302-EPM-194 brings reliable heat detection into hazardous locations - a hermetically sealed, self-restoring sensor rated for explosionproof mounting where a standard detector isn't safe to install, and for spaces that naturally run hotter than a typical 135°F environment.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Rate compensation offsets thermal lag so the sensor responds appropriately to both slow and fast temperature rises, alarming at its rated 194°F regardless of how quickly the space heats up. The hexagonal grip bushing threads onto a JALX-11 explosionproof outlet body (or equivalent), hand-tightened only, and the shell automatically resets once the surrounding temperature drops back down - no manual reset needed.
Key features
- 194°F (90°C) rated, self-restoring, no manual reset
- Rate compensation offsets thermal lag on both slow and fast temperature rises
- Explosionproof mounting for hazardous locations, indoor use only
- Hermetically sealed, shock and corrosion resistant, tamperproof
- UL Listed (not FM approved)
System requirements
Requires a JALX-11 explosionproof outlet body (or equivalent, e.g. Killark series JL fixture fitting) - hand-tighten only, do not use tools. UL spacing: 40 ft x 40 ft. For indoor use only.
