The 302-194 puts a simple, reliable rate compensation heat sensor on the wall for standard interior applications - no explosion-proof or weatherproof requirements, just straightforward surface mounting.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Rate compensation offsets thermal lag so the sensor responds appropriately to both slow and fast temperature rises, alarming at its rated 194°F - a good fit for spaces with naturally higher ambient or ceiling temperatures that would cause nuisance alarms on a 135°F-rated sensor. The shell automatically resets once the surrounding temperature drops back down.
