The Genesis EG1 wall-mount horn-strobe delivers synchronized notification on standard NAC circuits with 30 cd strobe output and selectable high/low dB horn in a compact 1-gang form factor. Temporal 3-pulse pattern ships as default, with a jumper option for steady (coded) operation on supervised circuits.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Mounts directly to any standard 1-gang flush or surface box with no adapter plates required. An optional trim plate (EG1T-FIRE) covers oversized openings including two-gang, four-inch square, and octagonal boxes. FullLight strobe technology produces smooth, even light distribution that exceeds UL 1971 and ULC S526 requirements without the hot spots and voids of specular reflectors. UL 1971, UL 1638, ULC S525, ULC S526, CSFM, and ADA compliant.
Key features
- 30 cd FullLight strobe output with synchronized flash rate (1 flash/sec) across all devices on the circuit
- Selectable high/low dB horn - factory default is high dB, cut a jumper for approximately 5 dB reduction without removing the device from the box
- Temporal or coded operation: ships temporal (3-pulse), jumper-selectable to steady for coded NAC panels
- Compact 1-gang form factor at 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 13/16" - fits standard electrical boxes without special hardware
- 16-33 Vdc or 16-33 Vdc FWR input - powers off the existing NAC circuit, no extra power supply runs
- Synchronizes with Genesis Signal Master (EG1M) for code-compliant multi-device installations
System requirements
Requires a supervised NAC circuit from a compatible FACP rated for 16-33 Vdc or 16-33 Vdc FWR. Wire connections accept #18 to #12 AWG. Indoor use only (32-120°F, 93% RH max). For synchronized strobe operation across multiple devices, add a Genesis Signal Master (EG1M) to the circuit.
