The RMS-1T-KO replaces a standard pull station with a key-operated switch in areas where an ordinary station would get pulled for reasons that have nothing to do with a fire — penal institutions, special needs housing, and similar occupancies.

It's a single-stage, tamperproof design with one single-pole normally-open contact rated for 10 amps at 125 Vdc, and the key is not easily duplicated, which keeps activation limited to authorized staff. It flush mounts to any standard North American 1-gang electrical box (2-1/2 in. deep minimum), and the key can be removed in both the ON and OFF positions for straightforward staff handoffs.
