The KIR-DDOSIB is the replacement interface board for the Kidde Optica KIR-DDOS Intelligent Duct Smoke Detector. When the original board fails or needs replacement, this drop-in swap gets the detector back online without replacing the entire housing, sampling tube, or optical sensor assembly.

Built for the fire alarm installer

The interface board carries the rotary address switches (TENS and ONES, 1-127 range), all SLC wiring terminals, the Form C auxiliary alarm relay, and connections for remote test stations and LED indicators. It drops into the existing KIR-DDOS housing with no modifications - same terminal layout, same mounting points, same wiring scheme. Compatible with all Kidde Intelligent Rotary Loop controllers and FX Series intelligent panels.

Is this board compatible with the older FX-PDD duct detector?
No. The KIR-DDOSIB is specifically designed for the Kidde Optica KIR-DDOS Intelligent Duct Smoke Detector. The older FX-PDD uses a different replacement PCB.
Do I need to reprogram the address after replacing the board?
Set the TENS and ONES rotary switches to match the original detector address. The address is set mechanically on the new board - no software programming required.
Does replacing the board require a new sampling tube or sensor?
No. The interface board swaps independently. The Optica optical sensor tube assembly, sampling tubes, and exhaust tubes remain in place.
What panels does this work with?
All Kidde Intelligent Rotary Loop controllers, including the FX Series intelligent fire alarm panels. Any panel that supports the Kidde intelligent SLC loop.
What are the relay ratings on this board?
