The Kidde Genesis GC Series GCSVWN-B puts mass notification signaling on the ceiling without sacrificing the low profile Genesis is known for. This speaker-strobe mounts flush to a standard 4-inch electrical box with no extension ring or trim plate, and the white housing with blue lens immediately distinguishes mass notification circuits from fire alarm signaling on the same building infrastructure.

The Genesis GC ceiling speaker-strobe exceeds UL synchronization requirements and is listed under UL 1638, UL 1971, and UL 1480. Candela and wattage settings are field-configurable through conveniently located switches without removing the device from the box. Settings remain visible through inspection windows on the front after the cover is closed, cutting time on AHJ walk-throughs.

Yes. The Genesis GC mounts flush to a standard 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep minimum) or the Kidde 960A-4RF round flush box. No extension ring or adapter plate required.
What candela settings are available?
Candela is field-selectable via a switch on the device. Blue lens models offer multiple settings depending on the standard or high-cd variant. All settings meet UL 1638 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 205 requirements.
Can I adjust wattage and candela after installation?
