The Genesis GCVWN-A is a ceiling-mount strobe built for ECS/MNS (Emergency Communication System / Mass Notification System) applications. Amber lens with no marking keeps it distinct from fire alarm notification devices on the same floor plan, and four selectable candela settings let you dial coverage to the space without swapping hardware.
Built for the commercial installer
Mounts flush to any standard 4" square electrical box (2-1/8" minimum depth) with a profile that barely breaks the ceiling plane - just 0.60" of protrusion. The housing is UV-stabilized, color-impregnated engineered plastic rated 94V-0 for flammability, so the white finish holds up over time without paint or post-install touch-ups. Runs on 16-33 Vdc or 16-33 Vfwr, compatible with both regulated and unregulated NAC circuits.
Key features
- Four selectable candela settings: A 82 cd, B 65 cd, C 26 cd, D 13 cd (UL 1638 listed, amber) - adjust on-site without ordering a different model
- Synchronization within 10 ms when paired with a Genesis Signal Master (G1M-RM), keeping multi-strobe corridors ADA-compliant
- Low-profile ceiling mount at 6.8" diameter and only 0.60" protrusion from the mounting surface
- UL 1638 and ULC-S526 listed for mass notification, with MEA and CSFM approvals
- No marking on the lens - purpose-built for ECS/MNS where "FIRE" labeling is not appropriate
- Standard wiring: #18 to #12 AWG connections, no proprietary connectors
System requirements
Requires a supervised NAC circuit providing 16-33 Vdc or 16-33 Vfwr. For synchronized strobe operation across multiple devices, install a Genesis Signal Master (G1M-RM, G1M-RM-KIT, or G1M-RM-DERA) on each circuit. Indoor use only - operating range is 32-120F (0-49C).
