The EWGAVRF is a Genesis LED EWG Series outdoor wall-mount horn-strobe built for commercial fire alarm notification circuits. Field-selectable candela output covers both indoor and outdoor requirements from a single SKU, and the 24 VDC/VFWR operating voltage drops onto standard NAC loops without additional power supplies or special wiring.
Built for the commercial installer
UL 1971 and UL 1638 listed for indoor and outdoor visual notification. ULC-S525 and ULC-S526 listed for Canadian installations. The unit mounts to a standard 4-inch square by 1.5-inch deep box indoors, or to a Kidde Model 449 or 74347U surface box for outdoor and wet locations. An optional red trim skirt (WG4RTS) covers rough-in for a clean finished look.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: four switch positions (D/C/B/A) set the right output for each coverage area without stocking multiple SKUs
- Outdoor rated to -40F: UL 1638 listed for outdoor operation down to -35C, full operating range -40F to 151F
- Horn output up to 99.6 dBA: 3.2 kHz tone meets UL 464 and ULC-S525 requirements across the 16-33V range
- Genesis synchronization compatible: works with GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, EG1M-RM Signal Master, and built-in sync on VS, VM, and FX Series panels
- Standard 12-18 AWG wiring: no special cable runs, connects directly to existing NAC loop wiring
System requirements
Operates on 24 VDC or 24 VFWR notification appliance circuits (16-33V operating range). Compatible with Kidde VS Series, VM Series, and FX Series fire alarm control panels. Synchronization via built-in panel sync or external modules (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC1S, GSA-MCC2A).
