The Kidde Genesis WG4 outdoor wall strobe delivers UL-listed visible notification for both indoor and outdoor installations, including wet and harsh environments like parking garages, loading docks, and process areas. Field-selectable candela settings let you dial in the right intensity on site without swapping hardware.

Built for outdoor and harsh-environment installs

Rated from -40 to 151°F with UL 1638 outdoor and UL 1971 indoor listings, this strobe handles the environments where standard indoor-only appliances fall short. The optional WG4GSKT full-backplane gasket seals the unit to recessed electrical boxes for in-the-pour or block installations. Room-side wiring on 12 to 18 AWG keeps the install straightforward, and the shallow 1.4-inch depth leaves room behind the appliance for extra wiring.

Mounting requirements

For outdoor or wet locations, mount to a Model 449 or 74347U surface box. In dry indoor conditions, a standard 4-inch square by 1.5-inch deep box works. Optional WG4WTS white trim skirt provides a finished look (requires 449 or 4-inch square by 2-1/8-inch deep box).
