The GSA-MCRR adds a polarity reversal relay output to any Kidde intelligent SLC loop without pulling extra wire. One Form C dry relay contact handles either control relay or polarity reversal functions depending on configuration, giving installers flexibility to control external appliances, shut down equipment, or reverse NAC circuit polarity from the panel.
Built for the commercial fire installer
This module mounts in a standard UIO backbox and addresses onto the SLC via rotary switches - same workflow as every other Kidde intelligent device on the loop. Class A-B circuit operation keeps the loop functional even with a single open fault. All circuits are power-limited. Ground fault detection pinpoints wiring problems to the individual module, cutting troubleshooting time on large loops.
Key features
- Polarity reversal or control relay operation: one Form C dry contact, configurable for the job
- UIO mount: drops into standard North American 4-inch square boxes - no special hardware
- SLC loop powered: no separate power supply required at the module
- Ground fault detection: isolates wiring faults to the module level for faster troubleshooting
- Class A-B operation: supports both Class A and Class B SLC circuit configurations
- Power-limited circuits: all circuits power-limited per code requirements
System requirements
Requires a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel with available SLC capacity. Compatible with 64-point and 1000-point Kidde panels. Mounts in a 4-inch square x 2-1/2 in. deep box (1-gang or 2-gang) or standard 4-inch square box 1-1/2 in. deep. Wire with 12, 14, 16, or 18 AWG (16 and 18 AWG preferred).
