The Kidde FX-RLY provides a programmable relay output on the SLC loop, giving installers direct control of external appliances, HVAC shutdown, or notification circuits without dedicated control wiring back to the panel. Rotary address switches and low standby current (125 A) keep commissioning fast and loop loading minimal.
Built for the commercial fire installer
UL and ULC listed. The FX-RLY connects to any Kidde FX Series Intelligent FACP via the Signaling Line Circuit and occupies a single address. The Form C dry relay contact handles pilot-duty loads up to 30 VDC at 2A or 125 VAC at 0.5A (60 W / 62.5 VA max), covering most ancillary control scenarios on a commercial fire job. It mounts in standard 4-inch square electrical boxes installers already have on the wall.
Key capabilities
- Form C dry relay contact rated 30 VDC @ 2A or 125 VAC @ 0.5A for external appliance control or equipment shutdown
- Dual-function operation: configurable as a control relay or polarity reversal relay through front panel programming or the configuration utility
- Rotary address switches for fast SLC commissioning - supports 01-64 on 64-point panels, 01-127 on 1000-point panels
- Low SLC loop loading: 125 A standby and activated current
- Standard mounting: fits 4-inch square boxes (1-1/2" or 2-1/2" deep, 1-gang or 2-gang)
- UL and ULC listed for code-compliant commercial fire installations
System requirements
Requires a Kidde FX Series Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panel. Connects to the panel's SLC loop using 16 or 18 AWG field wiring (preferred). One address per module.
