Do I need to buy the trim skirt separately?

What is the difference between the KI-SB and the KI-SB4?
Both are standard KI-series bases with identical terminal layouts. The KI-SB fits 1-gang, 3-1/2" octagon, and 4" octagon boxes. The KI-SB4 adds 4-inch square box support and includes the KI-TS4 trim skirt to cover the mounting ears.
What electrical boxes does the KI-SB4 fit?
The KI-SB4 mounts to 4-inch square, 4-inch octagon, 3-1/2-inch octagon, and 1-gang electrical boxes. All boxes must be at least 1-1/2 inches deep. It also fits European BESA and 1-gang boxes with 60.3mm fixing centers.
Are the wiring terminals room-side or face-side?
Room-side. All seven screw terminals are accessible from below after the base is ceiling-mounted. You mount the base first, then land your wires - no need to pre-wire before securing the base to the box.
Does the KI-SB4 support the GSA-LED Remote LED?
Yes. The KI-SB4 has dedicated terminals for the GSA-LED Remote LED: Terminal 4 carries Remote LED (-) and Terminal 5 carries Remote LED (+). Wire the GSA-LED to these terminals for remote visible annunciation outside the protected space.
