The Kidde Genesis LED G4VWA-A is a wall-mount mass notification strobe built for ECS/MNS applications where visual differentiation from fire alarm signals is required. The amber lens and ALERT housing marking give occupants and first responders an instant visual distinction between fire alarm (red/clear) and mass notification (amber) events - no guessing, no confusion during an emergency.
Built for the commercial installer
Genesis LED technology draws just 28 mA at 16-33 VDC - a fraction of what legacy Xenon strobes pull. That translates to more devices per NAC circuit, longer wire runs, and fewer booster power supplies on the job. LED devices are backwards compatible with existing Xenon strobes, so they drop into the same circuit and field of view without replacing everything on a retrofit.
Key features
- 75 cd amber strobe output with high-efficiency LED optics and smooth light distribution
- Ultra-low current draw: 28 mA (DC) / 36 mA (FWR) across the full 16-33 V operating range
- Mounts to standard 2-gang or 4-inch square boxes with the GRSW room side wiring plate for pre-wire and snap-in installation
- Backwards compatible with legacy Xenon Genesis strobes on the same NAC circuit
- Exceeds UL synchronization requirements - within 10 ms over a two-hour period when used with a compatible sync source
- Low-profile design protrudes just 1.62 inches from the wall with no visible mounting screws
System requirements
Requires a GRSW room side wiring plate (ordered separately as GRSW-10, pack of 10). Synchronization compatible with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Optional G4TW (white) or G4TR (red) trim plates and EG4WSB/EG4RSB surface mount boxes available.
