The Kidde G4VWA-R is a Genesis LED wall mount strobe built for mass notification and emergency communications systems (ECS). It delivers 15 cd of red-lens visual notification on standard NAC circuits, with ALERT marking that separates mass notification signaling from fire alarm functions in the same facility.
Built for the commercial installer
Low current draw (28 mA DC) means more devices per circuit before hitting NAC limits. The G4VWA-R synchronizes out of the box with Kidde CC Series signal modules, booster and auxiliary power supplies, and both intelligent and conventional fire alarm control panels. UL listed (S218, S5389), FM Approved, and FCC compliant.
Key features
- Mass notification on existing NAC circuits: runs alongside fire alarm Genesis devices without additional wiring infrastructure
- ALERT marking: clear visual distinction between mass notification and fire alarm signaling per NFPA 72 requirements
- Low current draw (28 mA DC): maximize device count per circuit run
- Built-in synchronization: no external sync module required when paired with compatible Kidde panels and power supplies
- Genesis LED platform: long-life LEDs reduce maintenance callbacks over incandescent appliances
- Standard electrical box mounting: fits 2-gang or 4-inch square boxes with GRSW room-side wiring plate
System requirements
Requires a GRSW room-side wiring plate (ordered separately). Mounts on standard 2-gang or 4-inch square electrical boxes. Compatible with Kidde intelligent and conventional fire alarm control panels for synchronized mass notification operation.
