The Kidde Genesis LED EG4AVRN is a wall-mount horn-strobe that delivers audible and visual notification from a single compact device. Field-selectable 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela output and high/low dB horn settings let you match the device to the space without swapping hardware or ordering a different SKU.

Built for the commercial installer

The EG4 Series runs on 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR and draws as little as 40 mA at the lowest horn-strobe setting, keeping NAC circuit loading in check on longer runs. UL 464, UL 1638, ULC-S525, and ULC-S526 listed. Mounts on standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, or 4-inch square boxes with no adapter plates required. The included GP10 room-side wiring plate lets you terminate and test wiring before the device arrives on site.

What candela settings are available on the EG4AVRN?
The EG4AVRN supports 15, 30, 75, and 110 candela output. Settings are field-selectable via a switch on the device - no need to remove it from the wall.
Does this horn-strobe work with Kidde intelligent panels?
Yes. The EG4 Series is compatible with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and both Intelligent and Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels.
How much current does the EG4AVRN draw?
At the lowest horn-strobe setting (C-Low/T-Low), it draws 40 mA on 16-33 VDC or 48 mA on 16-33 VFWR. At the highest setting (C-High/T-High), 50 mA on VDC or 65 mA on VFWR.
What electrical boxes does the EG4 Series fit?
Standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square boxes. Boxes must be at least 1-1/2 in. (3.81 cm) deep.
Is the room-side wiring plate included?
Yes. The GP10 room-side wiring plate is included with every EG4 notification appliance. Optional EG4TR (red) and EG4TW (white) trim plates are available separately.
Can the horn and strobe be synchronized across multiple devices?
Yes. The EG4 Series supports synchronized strobe flash and horn temporal patterns using Kidde CC Series Signal Modules or compatible signal sources. Maximum wire resistance between any two devices is 20 Ī©.
