The Kidde Genesis LED EG4VRF is a wall-mount visual notification appliance built for commercial fire alarm systems. Multi-candela output (15, 30, 75, or 110 cd) is field-selectable via a single switch on the device, so one SKU covers a range of ADA spacing requirements without swapping hardware.
Built for the commercial fire installer
LED technology draws just 28 mA at any candela setting on DC circuits - significantly less than legacy Xenon strobes, which means more devices per NAC circuit and fewer power supply runs. The low-profile Genesis housing mounts flush to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, or 4-inch square boxes (1.5-inch minimum depth). A room-side wiring plate (GP10) is included for clean terminations without pulling the device off the wall.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd via single switch - one SKU, multiple spacing requirements
- Low current draw: 28 mA DC / 36 mA VFWR at all cd settings, maximizing devices per NAC circuit
- Standard box compatible: mounts on 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5" octagon, or 4" square electrical boxes
- Room-side wiring plate included: GP10 plate for field wiring without removing the device
- UL 1971 and ULC listed: compliant for wall-mounted public-mode visual notification
- Synchronization ready: works with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies
System requirements
Connects to any Kidde Intelligent or Conventional fire alarm control panel NAC circuit. Synchronization requires a Kidde CC Series Signal Module or compatible Booster/Auxiliary Power Supply. Accepts 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR. Wire size: 12-18 AWG.
