The Kidde Genesis LED EG4 horn drops onto existing NAC circuits at 12 or 24V DC without a separate power supply run. Field-selectable output and temporal Code 3 patterning per ANSI/NFPA 72 let you dial in exactly what the AHJ wants on-site, not back at the shop.
Built for the commercial installer
The EG4 Series is Kidde's current-generation Genesis wall mount platform. UL 464 and ULC-S525 listed, it covers both US and Canadian jurisdictions. Low current draw means more devices per NAC circuit before you hit the panel's limit. The included GP10 room side wiring plate handles surface mount applications where a flush 4-inch box isn't available.
Key features
- Field-selectable dBA output: High and Low settings adjustable at the device, no special tools
- Temporal Code 3 pattern per ANSI/NFPA 72 plus non-temporal and coded options
- Low current draw maximizes NAC circuit device count on the existing panel
- Two-wire connection to standard NAC circuits at 12 or 24V DC (FWR or filtered)
- Mounts on standard 4" square box, single-gang box, or the included GP10 surface mount wiring plate
- Genesis synchronization protocol for coordinated signaling across multiple appliances
- White housing, no marking for applications that don't require "FIRE" lettering
System requirements
Connects to any fire alarm control panel's NAC circuit providing 12 or 24V DC (FWR or filtered DC). Compatible with Kidde Intelligent and FX Series fire alarm systems. For synchronized temporal signaling, use with Genesis sync-compatible NAC circuits or the MDL3 sync module.
