The Luminys SML-6GPA puts four PoE+ ports and cloud management in a compact metal enclosure sized for tight wiring closets and IDF spaces. Push power and data to cameras and access control readers up to 820 ft away -- no media converter, no second run -- and manage the whole network from a browser or the Luminys cloud portal without touching the site.

NDAA Section 889 compliant and rated to 55°C, the SML-6GPA handles camera runs that would choke a consumer switch. Intelligent PoE prioritization keeps critical devices online during brownouts, and the built-in PoE Watchdog automatically power-cycles unresponsive cameras -- cutting truck rolls without a support ticket. Surge protection on both power and telecom ports (4 kV / 8 kV) protects the investment on outdoor and exposed runs.

Deployment requirements

The SML-6GPA requires an external 53 VDC power supply. Connect the two uplink RJ-45 ports to the head-end switch or NVR network. PoE ports 1-4 are IEEE 802.3af/at compatible -- pair with any standard IP camera, access reader, or PoE-powered device. CAT5e or CAT6 required; keep DC loop resistance under 10 ohm/100m for reliable extended-distance runs.

How far can I run a camera from this switch?
