SKU:
LM-SML-10GPA

The Luminys SML-10GPA delivers cloud-managed PoE switching for small-to-mid camera installs without the cost or complexity of enterprise gear. Eight Gigabit PoE ports (including one 90W PoE++ port for power-hungry PTZ cameras and multi-sensor units) pair with a built-in PoE Watchdog that auto-reboots unresponsive cameras without a truck roll.

Built for the commercial installer

NDAA Section 889 compliant and FCC Part 15 Subpart B certified, it clears compliance requirements on government and commercial bids. LumiPoE extends the PoE signal up to 820 ft at 10 Mbps on CAT5e/CAT6 for perimeter cameras where pulling additional cable isn't an option. LumiCloud remote management is included at no charge, letting you check port status and reboot devices without driving back to the site.

Key features

  • PoE Watchdog: automatically detects and reboots unresponsive cameras. No manual intervention required on remote sites.
  • 90W PoE++ on Port 1: runs PTZ cameras, multi-sensor units, and other high-draw endpoints without a midspan
  • LumiCloud management included free: remote port monitoring and control via web or app without an on-site visit
  • LumiPoE extended range: push PoE up to 820 ft (250 m) at 10 Mbps for long cable runs on perimeter cameras
  • NDAA Section 889 compliant: cleared for government contracts and federal procurement bids
  • Compact desktop chassis: 7.5 x 4.2 x 1.2 in., fits in IDF closets, small equipment rooms, or above-ceiling installs

System requirements

Connects to your existing network via two Gigabit RJ-45 uplink ports. Powered by the included external 54 VDC power supply. Basic LumiCloud remote access is free - no subscription required for core management.

Does the SML-10GPA require a subscription to use LumiCloud management?
No subscription required for core management. Basic LumiCloud remote access is included free. An optional LumiCloud subscription is available for advanced switch and port management features beyond the basics.
What is the maximum PoE wattage per port?
Port 1 supports up to 90W (IEEE802.3bt PoE++), making it suitable for PTZ cameras and high-draw multi-sensor units. Ports 2 through 8 support up to 30W each (IEEE802.3at PoE+). Total budget across all ports is 110W.
How does PoE Watchdog work?
The switch continuously monitors connected PoE devices. When a device (such as a camera) becomes unresponsive, the switch automatically cuts and restores power to reboot it. No manual intervention or on-site visit needed.
Is the SML-10GPA NDAA compliant?
Yes. The SML-10GPA is NDAA Section 889 compliant and FCC Part 15 Subpart B certified, making it eligible for government contracts and commercial projects with federal procurement requirements.
How far can the switch extend PoE signal?
LumiPoE extends the PoE signal up to 820 ft (250 m) on CAT5e/CAT6 at 10 Mbps. Standard Gigabit speeds (1000 Mbps) are supported up to the standard 328 ft (100 m).
How many VLANs does this switch support?
Up to 32 port-based VLANs. Port isolation and port mirroring are also supported for network segmentation and troubleshooting.
What power supply does the switch require?
The SML-10GPA uses an external 54 VDC, 2.22A power supply. It is included in the box.
