The module uses two neural networks in tandem: a segmenting network that divides the human body into zones (head, shoulders, arms, torso, legs, feet), and a classification network that checks each zone for the correct equipment. This dual-network approach lets the system detect not just whether a hard hat is present, but whether it's worn correctly. System requirements
Each LCE-PPE license activates PPE detection on one video channel. A LumiCenter Plus (LSC-PLSV) or Max (LSC-MAXV) base license is required per channel before the add-on applies. For reliable detection, cameras should deliver color video at minimum 640 x 360 resolution and 3 fps, with minimum 200 lux lighting and a tilt angle no greater than 30 degrees from horizontal.
